Kathy Stretch Bangle

This is the Kathy Bracelet, named after an adult with autism from our online community. A message from Kathy: "This is actually my story. I was diagnosed in November of 2022 at the age of 32. Growing up I was told that I had a learning disability. I was in special classes throughout my schooling years. I always felt different and it was hard for me to make friends. In 2010 after going to culinary school for baking and pastry I found my love and passion for baking and decorating cakes. That’s was when I decided to open my at home cake business named Kathy’s Kakery located in Miami Florida. Come 2022 when I got my diagnosis of autism was when I finally found out why I felt different my whole life. I was shocked at first but it bought me so much understanding about myself and I was able to learn so much about myself. Autism is not a thing I have, it’s who I am as a person and it’s my superpower that god wanted me to have and I’m not scared to share it and embrace it. My goal with my small business is to be able to spread awareness about autism so more people can learn what it is and we can all be treated equal."
